Wedding-Day Weather

The perfect fall day. We were so blessed with clear blue skies and a warm sunny day.

Inspirations

Decorations for the wedding were dusty blue, ivory, and a LOT of lace! Twinkle lights gave a beautiful accent to tables throughout the hall.

Flowers

The bride's bouquet was an array of ivory flowers with green accents throughout. The bridesmaids' flowers were a gorgeous mix of wild flowers bursting with fall colors of reds, dusty blues, peach, yellow, and greens. Gems Floral in Boardman created stunning arrangements more beautiful than we could possibly imagine.

Favorite Detail

We were overwhelmed by the generosity shown that day by our family and friends. We are so blessed to have such kind hearted and loving people in our lives who went out of their way to surprise us with special details on our wedding day. We are so thankful and can't express our gratitude enough. We are so blessed to have such supportive and loving families who have always been these for us and helped us plan along the way. All of our family and friends who were able to celebrate with us helped make the day unforgettable.

First Dance

The Book of Love by Peter Gabriel

Cake

We had a 3 tier wedding cake (banana on top/bottom and chocolate in the middle) with two owls as cake toppers dressed in wedding apparel. We also had sheet cakes with additional flavors (marble and white) cut and served. The cake was absolutely beautiful and very delicious from Nemenz IGA in Struthers.

Favors

Traditional Greek "Koufeta" (candy coated almonds) were the favors for each guest.

Vendor Shout-Out

Our photographer, Tim Hickman was wonderful. Him and his assistant, Abby, took extra time to make our pictures even more special. Barry Swoboda was excellent recording our day on video so we can re-live the day over and over again! Gems Floral in Boardman and Nemenz IGA in Struthers were absolutely wonderful. The cakes were delicious and Ed at Gems was incredible and knew exactly what would look beautiful. Mr. Anthony's was
also so wonderful and accommodating to make our day flow easily.

If We Knew Then What We Know Now

Don't sweat it. As long as you're married at the end of the day - it's a great success! The day will fly by (like everybody says). Remember you can't control anybody's actions but your own. Enjoy every moment.

Honeymoon Destination

We took a train to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. It was an absolutely perfect week!
